De Rabo Sportactie: with sport you win friends

What started as a small meeting with Rabobank sparked a huge ambition, which now peaks in a commercial proposition and campaign. With the Rabo Sportactie, Rabobank is giving a one-off contribution of 125 euros this sports summer for young people aged 10 to 20 to play sports at a club affiliated to NOC*NSF.

For example, Rabobank wants to encourage young people to (continue to) play sports in association. After all, research figures from NOC*NSF show that the proportion of young people between 13 and 18 who play sports still lags behind 2020. This motivated Rabobank to launch a campaign to encourage and enable sports (in clubs) among this target group. 

Guido Klomp, Golazo Brands board member: “We are enormously proud to have been at the cradle of this concept. The Rabo Sportactie is a unique and great contribution to sport. It makes Rabobank really significant, which makes this campaign so valuable.”

"When you play sport at a sports club, you can't lose, because with sport you win friends. That is the creative approach of the Rabo Sportactie. The integral '360' campaign kicks off with a commercial in which a timid boy Vincent - plays on a team for the first time. He wins the match, but then the most important thing starts: making friends. The main message of the campaign is that sports at a club is not only about the game itself, but also about the social cohesion that sports clubs strengthen." The campaign will run on TV, radio and online and was developed in collaboration with DDB Amsterdam.


To participate in the Rabo Sportactie, you must have an active checking and savings account as well as a Rabo JongerenRekening for your child. You must also prove that you pay contribution to a sports club affiliated to NOC*NSF. For more information and conditions, please visit
