Golden Shields awarded during festive Champions Diner

Players, trainers and football administrators from the Keuken Kampioen Divisie gathered in Cuijk for the annual Champions Dinner. In an atmospheric Inspyrium, while enjoying dinner, the Golden Shields were awarded by national coach Ronald Koeman.

Festive closing
The Champions Dinner was a festive occasion befitting the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. While guests enjoyed dinner from Maison van den Boer, there was plenty of talk at the table about the exciting conclusion of the first division. The evening was again hosted by ESPN presenter Fresia Cousiño Arias. Erik Wegewijs, known from Special Forces VIPS, gave an impressive presentation on team importance and mental power.

Golden Shields
The highlight of the evening was of course the presentation of the Golden Shields, presented by national coach Ronald Koeman. Roda JC player Walid Ould-Chikh (best player), Willem II’er Joshua Smits (best goalkeeper), Roda coach Bas Sibum (best trainer), and Dordrecht player Shiloh ‘t Zand (best talent) won prizes. There were also Golden Shields for top scorer Henk Veerman and champion team Willem II.
