Bridgestone aimed to launch its refreshed Olympic campaign, “Prepared to Perform, No Matter What,” across five key markets: France, Germany, UK, Italy, and Spain. They sought a distinctive launch, different from their first Olympic campaign, with a more connected focus on performance and parallels between ambassador preparation & quality and performance of Bridgestone tires. The campaign had several key objectives: to drive awareness of Bridgestone’s Olympic and Paralympic Partnership, thereby increasing brand affinity and purchase intent; to position Bridgestone as a leader in mobility solutions; to promote the creative angle, “Don’t rely on luck”; and to communicate the “Prepared to Perform” philosophy by linking Olympians and Paralympians with Bridgestone.

Launch event 

To bring the campaign to life, we developed and executed a comprehensive event, organizing three key sessions over a single day. First, we engaged top-tier media partners to ensure high-quality coverage and maximum reach. Second, we collaborated with influencers and ambassadors to create engaging and authentic content, amplifying the campaign’s message. Lastly, we facilitated interactions between employees, top customers, and ambassadors through a meet-and-greet session, fostering a deeper connection with the brand. 

Concept, strategy & messaging 

Our responsibilities included developing the event concept and a branding guide, ensuring consistency across all materials and interactions in all five markets. We created detailed scripts to ensure smooth execution and alignment with campaign objectives. We prepared stakeholder briefings in French, German, English, Italian, and Spanish to cater to the diverse markets. We designed branded clothing and prepared press packs to enhance the campaign’s visibility and impact. We managed social media strategies to amplify the campaign’s reach and engagement. We coordinated with ambassadors to ensure their participation and alignment with the campaign message. Additionally, we identified and collaborated with key media partners and influencers to maximize campaign exposure. 

Results

The launch of Bridgestone’sPrepared to Perform, No Matter Whatcampaign successfully increased awareness of their Olympic and Paralympic Partnership. By positioning Bridgestone as a leader in mobility solutions and leveraging the journey of new ambassadors towards Paris 2024, the campaign strengthened brand affinity and purchase intent. The multi-faceted approach, incorporating media, influencers, and direct engagement with key stakeholders, ensured a high-quality reach and resonance with the target audience.
